If this isn't the darndest thing - Using my Ventilator II to beef up the Leslie effect on my CP 4 causes the CP 4 to change programs out of whatever I have it on to another program. Lets say I want to play a straight up piano, and just have the Vent on line for when I want to jump to the organ in the middle of song. Turn the Vent on, either through a FC7 or just by hitting the bypass/ on switch on the Vent, and the CP 4 instantly jumps to an organ sound. This was more than embarrassing the first time it happened. Sometimes the read out lies, and tells me it's still a piano, and sometimes at least it comes clean and tells me it's switched without my asking it to.
Does anybody have any idea why this would happen? I also use the Vent with my MOX and my Nord Electro, but the only board this happens with is the CP4.
Anybody got a clue for me on this one...I'm stumped.
Thanks,
TD

OK, Simple remedy - I just took the Ventilator off the top of the CP4. There must have been a electronic signal jumping between the Ventilator's on/ off function and the CP4's organ button which is the closest (really close) to where I put the Ventilator. At first I thought that I was just accidentally hitting the organ button, but it happened when I triggered the Ventilator with the pedal. With the Vent now away from the CP4's buttons there is no problem. DOH!
