Is there any way to store the range setting of each part within a performance in a scene?
So scene 1 -> part one is set the full 88 keys
Scene 2 -> part one is only controlled by the first 4 octaves
If not available I would very much love to see this made possible in the next firmware release

You could achieve the same effect by copying part 1 to another free part, setting the ranges of each part as you wish and then using the scene buttons to mute and unmute the parts accordingly.

The effect is the same but it is necessary to use one more slot of 8 for the same instrument. That's no good. A good improvement should be to have the feature asked by Daniel.

No that's an excellent suggestion, by Phil, perfect use for the additional slot and and excellent use of Scenes! Try it - as it is not likely you'll ever see an update as requested, Note Ranges are not the type of parameter captured in a SCENE.

Bed Mister, I'm very sorry that you don't like smart suggestion. Maybe you think that montage is perfect....but maybe it isn't. 😀

Another option (if you only want to use 1 part) is to edit the part at the element level - if the part in question uses 4 elements or less.
Let's do a simple example that only uses one element:
Go into part edit then highlight element 1
Copy this to element 2 using Shift Edit
Work out where you want your split point to be then make the upper note limit of element 1 this note and the lower note limit of element 2 a semitone higher.
For element 1 change XA Control to A.SW Off
When you play normally you have the full range of notes but when you press ASSIGN 1then only the upper range of notes will sound.

Another excellent use of the Montage tools as they exist now. Excellent Phil!
@Andrea, it's not that I think that Montage is perfect (what a silly comment) it's just amazing how some people "get it" and can figure things out based on the current situation and others would rather see any minor thing as a cause for a firmware update - you go ahead and wait for that update, meantime, others find solutions. Amazing!

Bed Mister it is true what you say. But also try to imagine that my answere depending from your before. You start with no, instead I wrote e true and Daniel suggest a very smart feature, so please some times try to answere "yes" that's a good idea and maybe in the future could be implemented, instead answere anytime 'No'. Could be that a good suggestion coming also from users like Daniel and me.
For my point of view (and I see a lot of comment in line with me) 8 part are not so much for a complex program and find out a smart suggestion that avoid to use one more slot it is very nice.
