sampling /user wave

hi all,just ordered my M61 and have a question ; how is the ability to load a wave file different from sampling? i see on the Namm videos that user waves can be loaded,key mapped and synthesized. thanx

Andy,
Although not specifically answering your question, the Montage does not have an integrated sampling function.
Unlike the Motif XF where you could plug an external sound source into the keyboard and record the wave to memory, edit and store all within the keyboard itself; this must all be done externally for the Montage.
You need to sample, edit and save the final product as a .wav/.aiff file and then import it into the Montage.

Note that the .wav files are limited in what you can do. An alternative is to use the John Melas Motif Waveform Editor which in my experience works fine also for the Montage. Then you have all possibilities.
