UPDATE: It appears I overlooked that one needed to switch the pedal input's behavior, from volume to sustain (pg 6 of the 1.3 reface revised manual). Issue is resolved and sustain behaves as it should, both with onboard synth and VSTi.

ORIGINAL POST: I'm curious to know, as I've had no success so far, if the pedal input is able to initiate midi cc when the reface is connected via usb? I've successfully updated to fw 1.3, and while I"m not using a yammy pedal (an m-audio sustain pedal in its stead), I would've imagined that I'd still get some manner of behavior out of the pedal. I wish to have a sustain. I understand it's likely because of the different make of the m-audio, as I get no sustain behavior from either my virtual instrument, or from the onboard dsp/synth of the reface. In fact when the pedal is used, all the keys no longer play so...

Will this require one of the FC 3/5/7 pedals instead? That's fine, if I can get some confirmation that the pedal can be recognized as a sustain and output midi CC for my DAW over usb... Then I can go about buying one, but would rather not waste the time or money if I can find it beforehand that it won't.

Thank you for your time, I hope to hear from others that they can in fact, operate the CS's sustain (which was introduced with the latest firmware update) with a virtual instrument! 🙂
