I'm new to the Montage, and I'm trying to figure out if I can play a pattern chain or performance sequence and record it into the onboard 2 track audio recorder. Basically "bounce" down a quick mix of my midi performance to a usb drive. Is this possible?

You cannot simultaneously play a Pattern and record it using the Performance Recorder. They are mutually exclusive.

Thanks for the answer. I was trying to get as much done as possible without touching a computer. For my situation, I figured out a workaround. I hooked up an ipad and simply record the 2 track over usb. Basically, using the ipad as a 2 track recorder. Then I can throw it on drop box and check my mix on different speakers and in the car without lugging the Montage around.
