Recently, the R audio output on my S90XS shuts off when using both L & R simultaneously. However, both outputs work when only one of them is used. Is this a hardware issue, a trs issue or a software issue? I have made no changes.

It could be a hardware issue. It should NOT be a TRS issue because the jacks are unbalanced, it would only be a TRS issue if you are incorrectly using TRS cables (please use TS cables only!!!), it would not be a software issue.
