Hi Guys, I've been working on writing an FM programming guide for all of the Yamaha DX synthesizers. It starts out with the basics on how FM works on the 4-Operator synths, then it moves up to the 6-Operator and covers how to create an FM patch from scratch to match the recording of an instrument. It explains in detail how to USE FM, not how the math works. It also covers programming the FS1R 8-Operator synth and how to use Formants to create voice patches for instruments with resonating bodies like the Acoustic Guitar, Cello and Bassoon.
