Hello,
I am looking for a resource that discribes (or transcribes) menu layout and sub folders of older Cubase versions with the latest version of Cubase Pro 11. While all of the resources in this forum are fantastic and very helpful, I do struggle finding menu items described here that simply don't line up with Cubase 11. For example in the "MOXF Basic Audio Recording Part III" document ...

"Go to DEVICES > VST CONNECTIONS > OUTPUT
Just to the right of the AUDIO DEVICE you will see the word "CLICK" - this sends the Cubase metronome sound to the DAW output."

While I found the Cubase 11 version of DEVICES > VST CONNECTIONS > OUTPUT to now be "STUDIO" -> "AUDIO CONNECTIONS" there is no word CLICK "Just to the right of the AUDIO DEVICE in the window/tab. Where is it now? Thank you for any insight.

Choose "Cubase"
Choose your level (Pro, AI, etc). I know you said Pro - but I'm being generic here for others
Choose your version (... again, 11 for you - maybe something else for others)

There's a lot of possible docs to view/download. I chose "Operation Manual" and then "PDF Version" so I'd get the whole thing to search in an environment I'm familiar with (PDF).

... choose your language.

Ok - I'd probably save the doc off to a directory and grab it from that directory in the future. It's big and takes a while to download from the net for me.

When I search for "click" I fairly quickly get to "metronome click" then find that's on page 232 of the doc.

Page 251 is actually the first landing spot I get to:

Metronome Click
You can use the metronome click as a timing reference for playing along and recording. The two
parameters that govern the timing of the metronome are project tempo and the time signature
that you can set up on the Transport panel.
● To activate the metronome click, activate Activate Metronome Click on the Transport
panel.
You can also select Transport > Activate Metronome or use the corresponding key
command.
● To define if the metronome click is played during playback, recording or count-in, select
Transport > Metronome Setup and make your changes on the General tab.
● To set up the sounds for the metronome click, select Transport > Metronome Setup and
make your changes on the Click Sounds tab.

... and I leveraged the instructions from the original tutorial:

Go to TRANSPORT > PROJECT SYNCHRONIZATION SETUP... > MIDI CLOCK OUT > DESTINATION = Yamaha MOXF6/MO8-1 (port 1)

More than what followed. To know that transport was likely more in-the-ballpark of where the options should live.

This kind of out-of-sync thing can happen when the synth, MOXF (2013) has an article that references the version of Cubase (AI 7) that was released at the time.

At or around Cubase 9, the word “DEVICES” was changed to “STUDIO” by Steinberg.
“DEVICE SETUP” became “STUDIO SETUP”
So in versions of Cubase post Cubase 9, you will see “Go to STUDIO > AUDIO CONNECTIONS > OUTPUT

Cubase 11 (2020) is the most recent version… announced about this time last year.

The Metronome (CLICK) setup is now handled by going to:
TRANSPORT > Metronome Setup
This will open a dialog box that lets you setup your Click preferences.

Hope that helps.
