Is there way to turn on Cubase transport (on/off) using the sequencer buttons on the Montage?

No. There is no Remote Control mode from MONTAGE to DAW.

Thanks, Montage Connect works for me in place of this feature.

If I have a captured midi performance that I want to expand on, I sometimes use the DAW to start/record to capture all of my "song" playing and all of the arps using the record arp setup. Hitting Play on the DAW starts the performance recorder/playback on the Montage. That seems to work better for me than using a stick and then transferring the file to PC as it auto "splits the part", but both work.

I meant to say that, I was using Montage Connect to copy the song (midi data) from Montage Connect and drop it into Cubase for further editing.

Can you please post a step-by-step instructions on how to do this? In my case, I am not able to start the Montage performance-sequencer using Cubase.

You must make Cubase the master MIDI Clock and then set the MONTAGE to follow MIDI Sync.

In Cubase AI 9.5, go to TRANSPORT > PROJECT SYNCHRONIZATION SETUP... > MIDI CLOCK DESTINATIONS > Set the MIDI Clock Out = MONTAGE Port 1

In the MONTAGE, Touch the TEMPO setting on the top line of the screen to go to TEMPO SETTINGS
Set MIDI SYNC = MIDI (green)... the MONTAGE will now show “Ex.Tempo” and will follow the Tempo of Cubase AI 9.5
Press [EXIT] returns you to the Performance

Nice, I got all my step by step by one Bad Mister, when I first got the Montage, both from the videos Learn content, and this forum when I got initially stuck with my workflows. I had a sense that DAW to Montage sync would work for you. The performance recorder is awesome if you just use it for what its great at. I record midi and audio all the time as I try stuff out.... if anything sounds really good....it goes to the DAW for more work. Its amazing, one USB, and with the quick setups on the Montage, its very quick and easy. Im still only using like 5% of the DAW, but I can get it do anything I need it to without much fumbling round. Its funny tho...., I am playing these fairly complex tunes live, with many parts, arps, and motion :)..., and I hardly need to go the DAW unless I want to stack up multiple performances, or do some detail editing.
