Montage firmware ver 1.5
Montage Connect 1.0.2

Instrument Track with Montage Connect running:

Input = Montage Port 1
Output = Montage Connect
Channel = Any

Montage Connect is offline.

Setup screen looks like this:

What do I have to do to get this working?

Thanks,

Lawrence

In the Montage set MIDI I/O = USB

Press [UTILITY]
Touch "Settings" > "MIDI I/O"
Make sure you've set the MIDI I/O = USB

Montage is already configured that way.

You should be able to select Montage.
Verify your firmware version: UTILITY > "Settings" > "System"

Attached files

I agree, but there's nothing to select.

If I click on the downward pointing error, all I get is:

Montage Firmware is 1.50.0

Hello Lawrence - I think this is due to Yamaha having pulled v1.50 for modification, so 'Connect' v1.02 won't work if you're using Montage v1.50. The modified v1.51 won't be available until the 10 March, so it's goodbye Connect until then.

Hi Montage Connect 1.02 work with Montage OS 1.50.
I use it this morning :

Are you connect on an USB 2.0 computer port or USB 3.0 computer port ?

Have you tried Montage Connect in stand alone outside Cubase to check if it work like this.

Looks like Macintosh, which I cannot help much with. If it were Windows, I would say to check the driver is installed and loaded properly. Try different USB ports. If you can interact with Montage with Cubase or some other DAW - then that's fine. I would think any problems with Connect finding Montage would also show up as a problem with a DAW finding Montage as well.

However, doesn't look like Windows - so I'm not sure what the general debug process would be for Mac.

The DAW (Cubase Pro 9.0.1) finds the Montage, records, plays back etc.

Hi Lawrence, ol for Cubase but please reply to this two questions :

Are you connect on an USB 2.0 computer port or USB 3.0 computer port ?

Have you tried Montage Connect in stand alone outside Cubase to check if it work like this.

It can help to eliminate some causes.

Thanks, Joel.

The Montage is connected via a USB hub, so USB 2.

I tried Montage Connect stand alone, and got the same behaviour - remaining offline.

Try removing the hub.

I've now connected the Montage directly to the computer. Problem still not solved.

Now that we know you had the wrong driver, this problem should also have resolved itself. Let us know.
