Looking for Home Studio Desk Workstation for Montage 8

I am looking for a home studio desk that is large enough to hold the Montage 8 (88 keys) at piano height, and also allow easy reach of Mac keyboard and mouse as well as an elevated center placement of monitor. Also, would like my Yamaha HS8 speakers securely placed on the desk (vs separate speaker stands). Am I asking for too much? 🙂

Thank you in advance for any recommended solutions.

Paul

It's big bucks, but the Zaor Miza X2 is the best i've seen.

What you want probably exists. I did a search earlier today (for this thread) and started to compile a list. Then I ditched it thinking I cannot endorse products I haven't used. My criteria was a keyboard shelf height of 28-29" minus a few inches for the keyboard height itself; and supporting 88-keys; and a reasonable shelf for the accessories you mentioned (keyboard, mouse, monitors - audio and visual).

You can probably do your own search and come up with what I did.

It's difficult because it's similar to buying clothes online. And more difficult to return so many pounds (weight) of gear than clothes.

I recently purchased a desk which would not fit your needs. Desk height is over 30" (too high to be piano height) and only the desk top would support 88 keys. The rest is OK. I actually keep my keyboards off the desk but would prefer a rolling drawer for the 88 key. Price was around $300 which was a big part of the purchase.

Often standard desks need to be cut down. Using an office chair does not necessarily put your feet in the correct position for touching the floor and pressing pedals. We're all different heights - all I can do is go by the requirement for "piano height" to dictate that this dimension (piano shelf height from ground) is important.

It's no more nuts than spending $4000 on a professional keyboard like the Montage and it does meet all
the requirements of the original poster. What are you playing, a Casio?

Thank you Mark and Jason. Yes, a lot of $$ for the Zaor Miza X2. I just wanted to be sure the Montage 8 will fit.

I also looked at Studio Desk Enterprise @ $2K. Does anyone have any comment on that brand/model?

This Forum is great for reference and feedback.

Hi.
I'm looking for a desk also. The Zaor doesn't quite fit. Montage 8 dimensions are:
6.69 height
57.06 width
18.13 depth

Zoar depth is 18.1 Barely not enough. Who knows how accurate either are. I couldn't find height amount. Montage height is 6.69. Not sure if that includes the knob.

A found this.

Looks awesome. But still won't fit the Montage. I would love to have it in a tray. I'm going to call them and ask if anyone uses it with a Montage.

Form my research it looks like we'd have to use a desk with the keyboard not in a tray. Too bad.
If anything else pops up let us know.
Thanks.
Ron

Hi.
I just noticed that AZ Studio workstations will do custom work. Calling tomorrow to see if they make a bigger tray that will fit M8

This is perfect.

But not quite. Even with the adjustable drawer height M8 is too tall.
Going to call
