I just bought MOX78. Love the Board but I've tried for almost two weeks to interface with Cubase. Unable to open MOXF8 Port I have Windows 10. Here's the error message from Yamaha found in my control panel. Thanks in advance for response.
Device USBVID_0499&PID_170C&MI_006&6b20fcd&0&0000 requires further installation.

Have you installed the “Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver version 1.10.4 for Windows”?
Here’s how to know...
On Windows 10 open the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Find the icon for the “Yamaha Steinberg USB driver”
Double click it.
Also there are many different versions of Cubase, are you running Cubase AI? If yes, which version?
Also are you connected via a USB cable directly to the MOXF8?

Thanks for the quick response. That was a big help...... I'm running Cubase LE Ai Elements 10. I needed to install the Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver version 1.10.4 for Windows then update license. The board is now recognized by the computer.
Now working on configuring the ports.

The installation installs LE, AI, Elements...
Use AI, advanced integration... this version was developed specifically for Yamaha and has special enhancements. LE is the version you get with a non-Yamaha purchase; many companies offer a free copy of LE, only Yamaha purchasers get AI.
Launch AI.
