Hi. El Capitan is not recognizing S90 ES on core audio. I tried to install driver 1.3.2 but it's not working. When I turn S90 ES on it does not appear on Yamaha USB MIDI Control panel. Any help?

Thanks

You may have the wrong driver... or you may not have made the setting in your keyboard.

The driver you want is called:

“Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver Version 1.3.2-2”

Make sure your S90 ES is set to MIDI I/O = USB

I downloaded and installed this driver and El Capitan still not recognizing it. It was the same file I downloaded before, but rechecked. My s90 is set to USB.

I tried the reexplore midi on MIDI Studio on Audio and Midi Configuration and it not recognizes S90, neither Yamaha USB MIDI control panel.

I tested a keyboard controller from other brand and it is working alright.

Is there any other test I can do?

Hi. I tried connecting S90 directly into one of the two MacBook USB port and OS X recognized it.

Seems there was something with my USB powered hub or Apogee Duet usb input, as I was using them as input.

Is there any other test I can make so I can connect using one of those inputs?

Thanks.

Hi. I tried connecting S90 directly into one of the two MacBook USB port and OS X recognized it.

It works, it’s your hub that is the problem - remove it.

Testing another brand keyboard with the Yamaha Driver is meaningless and will not work in spite of you saying it does... it is NOT using the Yamaha driver. A non-Yamaha keyboard will not use that driver. The Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver is MIDI only. MIDI ONLY. No audio or other data is transmitted via the USB port. So I’m unclear on what you are attempting to do with a hub
?

If you want a suggestion on how to connect, you’ll need to tell us what you want to do and ALL the items involved. There are no documented instructions for DIY configuration - how could there be? No one is expecting anything but a straight/Direct USB connection between S90 and your computer. When you said the driver didn’t work, you initially did not mention a hub - leaving it out everything works. Suggestion: skip the hub.

Sorry did not mentioned earlier Apogee Duet and the hub as USB ports as the inputs that I was trying. I did not intended to use another brand with Yamaha Driver. I mentioned the other controller because I was using it with Apogee Duet's USB MIDI input and was recognized by Core Audio. Anyway, S90 ES is now working perfectly connected directly to MacBook's USB port.

Thanks for all the help.
