OK. I have never really edited ANY Voice except to tweak the EQ or play with the Insertion FX. And certainly never DRUM VOICES, even though they tend to be the sounds that I am least happy with when choosing a Preset.

I've got some time on my hands and I want to FINALLY put together some USER DRUM KITS that meet my needs.

This seems like a daunting task. So any help or tutorial would be so welcome.

I want to not only pick specific Drum Voices from different preset kits -- I want to assign each Drum Voice to the keyboard keys differently then how they are laid out in most of the Preset Kits. That is, some configuration of my invention that cause the various drums to lay under my fingers in a way that allows me to play them more like I'd play a real kit.

While I'm at it, I'd like to get all the percussion voices that I tend to use most, from numerous other kits and have them all available over maybe two octaves .

I've seen an article about Editing Drum Voices and tried to read it, but something is just not gelling in my brain about the process. (I think there are also some shortcuts that I recall 5Pin over on the Motifator site describing in a thread.)

Thanks for any help.

Steve
