I'm having trouble deleting the motif XF performance collection. When i go to utility click on contents, data utility the collection does not show up, i do not see it nowhere. I can go to category search and click on bank/favorite its listed as Motif XF. I appreciate all help.
Press [UTILITY] button
"Contents" -> "Data Utility" menu
Press "Library"
... and this is where you don't see "Motif XF" I imagine.
Not sure since there's only 3 ways to clear it. Either this way, initializing your keyboard, or loading an X7A backup file (that doesn't have this library).
Thanks for your response but the only thing showing is the file Organimation i load awhile back.
I got the motif xf performance collection from yamaha
You don't have a "MOTIF XF" Library installed. If you did, it would show up under the Library contents of Data Utility. Let me explain what's going on.
Since firmware v2.50, Montage added a new Bank called "MOTIF XF" which are 512 new Performances that are borrowed from the past Motif XF. This is not a library you can delete. It's part of your presets. For easy organization, the Yamaha decided to create a Bank/Favorite that only contains these Performances. Again, not a library - just a "folder" to organize these new _presets_.
Take a look at any supplementary manual (bundled with firmware - or download the latest from the yamaha.com website support page for Montage). You'll find "New Functions in MONTAGE Version 2.50" and then the next page shows:
"Additional New Performances
The MONTAGE offers 512 new Performances in MOTIF XF Bank.
For the added Performances, refer to the Data List."
Notice "MOTIF XF Bank". There's also a picture here showing the MOTIF XF bank which matches what you're seeing.
Don't initialize anything. Don't try to delete it - because you can't. It's provided now "for free" (as in, consumes no resources) as part of your standard Presets for any firmware v2.50 or later.
Thank you Jason
