DAW Remote Mode Dangerous Slider Behavior

With the Montage in Remote Mode, the sliders control the volume on tracks in my Cubase project. This is a great feature.

But when I move a Montage slider, the Cubase volume jumps immediately to where that slider is. So if the slider was all the way up, the volume immediately jumps to very loud. This is potentially dangerous to our ears.

I think that nothing should happen when you move the Montage slider until it "hooks" the Cubase volume. This would prevent getting our ears blasted.

(Luckily for me, I noticed this behavior before I got blasted.)

Pick-up mode supported?

https://steinberg.help/cubase_pro_artist/v9/en/cubase_nuendo/topics/track_quick_controls/track_quick_controls_hardware_controllers_pickup_mode_activating_t.html

Not sure this is available in all versions (product levels).

But that’s a different mode. It would be nice if Montage Remote Mode acted that way as well..

For this to work, the DAW has to manage. The keyboard cannot know the setting for the DAW for the keyboard itself to manage the behavior.

If Cubase is missing a feature then I imagine all transport controllers work the same way.
