Hi All!
Does anyone know how to keep the split point the same even when transposing keys. All the other CPs I’ve owned maintained the split point. This is a crucial feature for me when I’m playing live.
Thanks.
Joe

Same as it always has been... to keep the physical split point the same when you want to change the Key of what is sounding, you work with the Part’s NOTE SHIFT parameter. Page 18 of the Reference Manual.

Select the Part you want to change
Press [EDIT]
Part > Play Mode > Note Shift

Hi Bad Mister,
Thank you for your help and for answering me. Unfortunately for me that would be too many steps during a live performance. My CP33 and CP300 transposed on the spot and kept the split point. I just received word from Yamaha support that my two month old CP4 Stage may need to be sent back. Unless I’m misinterpreting your instructions or doing something wrong (which is quite the norm on my part. I’m just not good with the programming stuff). Let’s see what’s next. Thanks again.
Joe
