Having problems logging into the app. Just bought a Montage yesterday and was trying to explore the app. Everytime I try to log in ot says "Failed to sign in. Please confirm your username and password." I've reset my password and the app. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app as well. If someone could help I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance

Sorry you are having issues with the log in... those responsible for this are aware that there are issues. But it is like a whack-a-mole game, fix one thing a new issue pops up over there. Please be patient and hopefully we’ll hear something good soon. Thank you.

I think the user user community has been patient enough, considering this issue has existed for many months now. I have a Reface DX on order, eagerly awaiting it's arrival, but if this app isn't fixed to allow users to login, then I seriously doubt I'll keep the DX. I know the DX has 32 memory slots, but I would much rather store any new sounds I create/download on Soundmondo. Yes, the Soundmondo website works fine for storing, creating set lists, etc., but having access to these sounds/set lists via an app on an iPhone or iPad is very convenient when one doesn't have their PC.

I've become very hesitant in purchasing Yamaha products the last several years as I believe Yamaha has no intention of supporting their products in the long-term. I bought a Yamaha Magicstomp years ago. Anybody remember that device? Hey Yamaha, remember how you touted the that the Magicstomp website would have new sounds, a place for users to upload their setting, blah, blah, blah. Where did the Magicstomp website go? To the keyboardists out there: ask you guitar friends if they remember/ever heard of the Yamaha Magicstomp device? (actually it's a damn cool/powerful piece of gear) I can easily see website/app support slowly fading for the Reface in a couple of years if Yamaha follows their past support behavior.

Bottom line: Yamaha makes outstanding musical equipment - however, their technology support business line sucks the big one.

FYI - testing soundmondo today didn't work for me. Failed to sign-in (confirm username and password).

I can login to the web interface fine. I enter the same username and password into both (web and iOS). iOS fails. Web logs in.

iOS Soundmondo reports Version 2.7.3 (62)

Note that Soundmondo still works for local-only or even online/cloud-based. Soundmondo iOS just cannot be used for items associated with my online account. In other words, if I click on the lower-right cloud icon (with an "S" inside) - I can search online for others' Performances and recall them.

Still, it's fairly significant that you cannot login to your soundmondo account using the app. About 40% of the app is not available without cloud authentication.

... and, for the record (since the message board doesn't properly timestamp responses) "today" is 9/3/2020.

Please see this week’s Tech Talk Live

Tech Talk Live: Soundmondo

iPad using Chrome as browser:
If you are logged in here, to YamahaSynth... Go to Apps > Soundmondo > if “Sign In” appears, click. If “Sign Out” appears, you’re already in. Why this works is, in order to log on to YamahaSynth.com you use your Yamaha Account — you are in. You should be able to go to Apps and give it a second or two but you should be signed in there as well. Again if you see “Sign In”, click it it should change to “Sign Out” (this means you’re in). Let us know.

To Sign In without logging into YamahaSynth.com, you must sign in to your Yamaha Account. I believe this is where some folks run into issues.

Using Chrome on an iPad is never a solution to anything.

Tell your bosses (Bad Mister) that it's high time Yamaha figured out how to hire native programmers, and designers to control their less than stellar instincts, and deliver good software.

We're way past the point where software matters more to the user experience of hardware than the hardware itself.

And we're way past the point where Yamaha should have realised they have a problem attaining, retaining and training programming talent to serve the users of their hardware.

For just signing out of Yamahasynth.com - Safari should work fine for that. Not sure why Chrome is suggested. If you need Chrome to use this forum in iOS - that's it's own can of worms. That can't be true - can it?

Maybe wires crossed because Chrome is usually the reflex when talking about Soundmondo (web). But this isn't a suggestion to use Soundmondo (web) on iOS. You can't. And as far as I can see - the trick/hack doesn't involve WebMIDI at all.

If this is what's going on - I'm surprised I didn't have to do this before. Usually stuff like this is broken from the start and just never gets fixed. This was working - at least I think it was - and now isn't. But I guess I'll be happy to give it a whirl and see how it goes.
