I can't figure out how to lower/fade independently the internal MOXF8 sounds while using iPad external sounds in tandem. I have iPad connected to USB (to Host) and everything is working great. both audio signals mixed together and coming out the main L/R outs of the MOXF. But the master volume on the MOXF8 lowers both MOXF8 sounds and the iPad sounds together. The DAW level slider works as it should for iPad level. I want to be able to mix them independently or at least be able to switch the MOXF8 sounds on or off without menu diving to find the local on/off switch. Is this possible? The ability to play the ipad sounds with the A/D converter is a fantastic feature but perhaps useless without being able to mix the two sounds in live setting. Thx

The MOXF Main Volume slider represents all output. The DAW Level slider represents external audio Outputs contribution. If you want to turn down the contribution of the internal MOXF sounds, each Part has a volume control that contributes to the MOXF’s total output level. These sixteen individual Outputs are summed together to feed the Main Volume of the MOXF.

Before all of the sixteen Part Volumes feed the Main Volume slider they pass through the Volume parameter setting here:
Press [UTILITY]
Press [F1] GENERAL
Press [SF1] TG (Tone Generator)
Volume this volume is the overall volume of the MOXF Parts

But you should learn to work the controls as you need.
The MAIN VOLUME SLIDER = Overall Output (all sources, both internal and external)
The individual Part Volumes, (press both Knob Function button simultaneously to turn your Knobs into side-by-side Part Volumes)
The Utility TG Volume = overall volume for internal Parts including A/D Input Part
DAW LEVEL = control of USB input’s volume

They are all there...

The ability to play the ipad sounds with the A/D converter is a fantastic feature but perhaps useless without being able to mix the two sounds in live setting.

What A/D converter? Are you plugging the audio out of the iPad into the MOXF A/D Input? If so then the DAW LEVEL would not be working... you’ve completely confused me with this last statement. You are connecting the iPad to the MOXF via USB correct? Or are you connecting it from its headphone out to the the MOXF A/D Input? In which case it would be contributing to the MOXF internal volume, contributing its output along with the other internal Parts.

Sorry, D/A Converter is what I meant. I am using a usb cable from mo8f host port to lightning camera adapter into I pad. I am getting the iPads audio from the analog main outs of the mox8. This is the setup I was referring to. I know it works because I am doing it right now. I hope this clears up the confusion.

Nevertheless thank you for the explanation of how to access volume controls for the various parts.
