Can the screen get brighter?

The Montage's screen is not bright enough for playing outdoor stages in daylight. Even playing indoors, it's not bright enough when stage lights hit it. I'm getting bad reflections. Is there a way to make the screen brighter? I wish the screen tilted too, or at least had more of an angle that actually faces the player, rather than the ceiling. Huge oversight here in design. I dislike having to lean forward in order to get my eyes over the screen. It's difficult because I also sing BGV's and the mic is in front of my face.

There does not appear to be a way to adjust brightness in the Utility section.

Even if brightness cannot be adjusted higher (maybe it can) seems that some form of a high contrast mode would be a relatively easy enhancement for the FW team (low hanging fruit).

Another low-tech fix to the angle of the screen, which would also require a firmware change, would be to use a mirror. To test, I just got a mirror out and noticed the sharpness and contrast of the screen was much better in the mirror (than at normal stage viewing angle) due to the "straight on" viewing angle I could achieve with a properly angled mirror. To complete this method of getting a solution to the screen angle, the screen would need to be flipped - which cannot currently be done.

There's always the external (USB to HDMI) display option as well. A small enough screen could be integrated without having to carry another bag worth of things depending on the keyboard case.

Not thrilled with the mounting solution - but hinged solutions cost a lot more.

I'll repeat my own views, Yamaha made an excellent screen for the Tyros and they have made a big mistake in not developing that large tilting screen into a touch screen and fitting it to the Montage. It's as if the synthesiser design team don't talk to the arranger team. WHY DON'T YAMAHA LISTEN TO THEIR CUSTOMERS? The pathetic little touch screen is useless in live playing in varying lighting conditions not to mention the back ache from leaning over it when assembling performances.
The extra cost per unit to fit a tilting touch screen would be negligible - it's already been designed and tooled up, it would only be the case of designing a slightly larger screen to fit it, I can't see that increasing the price by much.

Yep. Huge oversight for the performing musician... the group for which they say they designed this otherwise wonderful keyboard.

The additional monitor is not a fix because I cannot see my fingers on it. I need to easily determine what my fingers are hitting on the fly without having to lean around my mic in order to see it.
