Two probably basic questions from a beginner.....
First, how do you delete a song? I have recorded "stuff" in a song. Only way I have been able to delete is record on all tracks and record silence and then save it. There has to be a better way.

Second, trying to make backing tracks for myself. Say I record one verse of a song with piano chords, then add a bass to the background. Instead of doing this for multiple verses, I would like to duplicate it say three times. Is there a way to do this?

After that I want to layer lead parts on top of it, say a sax lead one verse, piano next or something like that.

Got the answer on deleting songs.....It is under Jobs. Someone suggested using patterns for repeating a verse, sort of works but looking for alternatives. Most people just tell me use Cubase. Guess I need to learn that.

The MOXF8 continues as the best selling workstation synthesizer on the market and allows you the flexibility of working completely inside the MOXF and/or with a DAW software like Cubase. If the goal is make a “song” (plays beginning to end and stops) you would use the SONG mode = linear; if however, you would enjoy the freedom of constructing your composition by ‘sections’ (verse, chorus, interlude, solo, bridge, etc) where you can freely construct the composition as it plays back, then use PATTERN mode = looping sections.

Alternatively, you can also use the PATTERN mode to construct your musical sections, then have the MOXF convert your playback order (called a ‘Chain’) to a linear SONG. It’s your choice and is completely a matter of preference.

While many people use DAWs, you can if you want to, but you can build it all in the MOXF just as easily (some would say, it’s even easier!)
