Since Yamaha has answered the call and greatly enhanced the YC to where I can't stop playing it, now imagine an AN or mono-synth module component to the interface like on the SKpro?

Keeping true to the one-knob-one-function simplified design but adding a 4th voice section with AN1X type controls.

They can always expand the FM/Organ section and add to the "A"/"B" with stuff that is desperately needed like pedal steel & percussive stuff etc.. Expand the playground and add another great voice option.

Fantasy list might be to tilt the screen and double the size of it please and add FM editor if possible but probably just expand the onboard FM organ with more fast selection capabilities like the FM4/5/6.

If at all possible create a way to merge selection "A"/"B" into a combo that only occupies one slot. SKpro can do 4 but 2 is probably good enough.

It would be nice to see a hammer and waterfall YC73 variations that had a VA synth panel with aftertouch, assignable outs, and the ability to load user samples into its synth section, plus some front panel knobbage for controlling at least the volumes of your external MIDI zones... though that basically describes a Nord Stage 3. 😉 In a way, it's remarkable how close the YC already is to the NS3, considering the price difference. But yeah, those additions would be nice...

Having the choice would be good but the key quality, feel and action on the 73 is totally addictive. I'm not an organ player but like on the SKpro and YC61 organ keys feel like really cheap toys to me. I know that's how organs have to be because of the way they are played but it feel like it's not a 2 or 3K piece of gear. It's counterintuitive and my brain can't make that connection. The SKpro keys are just bad so I MIDI it to my YC. Organ players might love it though. A choice is good. You could own both and stack them which is ideal. It was ironic because at first I liked the YC, then I didn't but now I love it. Not everything about it but it's addictive and now I come back to it the most. The next gen could be amazing. I've always said the YC61 was unbelievable for it size and portability. I love the XLRs on my 73 which makes it even more professional. Those freak'n backlit draw bars are the coolest thing on the market and now we have FM synth style options. I spent $200 on glossy metal knobs that reflect the rotary lights so now my 73 looks like a space command console and extremely classy. It's fantastic.

It would be wonderful if you owned both of them and stacked them together. It was funny because I used to enjoy the YC, but then I stopped, and now I adore it. Not everything about it is addictive, but it is, and as a result, I find myself coming back to it the most. The next generation might be incredible. For its size and portability, the YC61 has always impressed me to an astonishing degree. I really like how my 73 has XLRs, which gives it a more professional wheredle appearance.

Why did Gene paraphrase and post something I had already written?

If you look at the recent posts you notice they are spam. A series of posts that are trying to deliver a link for the unsuspecting to click on.

One obvious tip-off is when you see threads resurrected from ages ago with some random meaningless new comment (as you do see presently with a few other threads -- same culprits).

What happens when you click on the link even if by accident? Does your computer explode?
