Dear Forum,

I received a new Reface CP for Christmas yesterday (to my delight) and of course had a quick noodle on it for a short while after receiving it. Everything was in perfect working order and it was great, so I put it away for later to have a proper play on it. However, when I went to play it many hours later there was no sound coming from the speakers. I tried playing it both the power supply and batteries with no success from either.

Everything else seems to be working fine; all the lights switch on as normal.

Is there anything I can try to fix this problem, or will the unit have to be put in for repair or replaced?

Thanks,

Callum

Congratulations on your reface CP and welcome to Yamaha Synth!

The speakers can be turned off. Please see page 41 of your Owner's Manual for details.

To reset your instrument, hold the top Key (C5) while powering it On. The factory default is Speakers = On.

I tried the steps suggested above by Bad Mister but they didn't work for me. Any other tips, please? I have this brand-new Reface CP ( got it yesterday ) and can't make the speakers work. Actually, they did work when I first got the keyboard and just like Callum, I put it away for a few hours and when went back could no longer make the speakers work. The piano works fine thru an amp or headphones, though>

What Key did you hold down to turn on the speakers?
