Is there a way of mapping the notes of, for example, the FM and Rhodes pianos in true stereo so they pan gradually from A-1 (at say 40% left) to C7 at 40% right? I'm not talking about auto-pan or pseudo stereo effects - I mean creating a stereo instrument like the acoustic pianos so when you play a wide chord, the notes are spread across the stereo image?
Speaking of which, has anyone noticed anything funky with the Upright Piano? On mine, the stereo image doesn't run consistently up the keyboard - certain notes stick out as having odd stereo placement. Stick on a pair of headphones and play the octave above middle C, where the notes should be gradually panning to the right - the D, D# and E suddenly jump to the left before springing back right again on the F. This happens in a few octaves - if I play a chromatic run up the keyboard I notice a few instances where the stereo placement jumps around.
