i would like to load motif voices on moxf, it is equipped with fl1024m.. So, What i did was..
I formatted initially
selected file menu,
chose load option,
set type to "All",
selected particular .X3A file (which i wanted to load), with system and waveform,
and Executed..
it was installed successfully on moxf's memory module.. it took 50 minutes..
But i couldn't see the installed voices in user bank.. only waveforms are installed in moxf's memory module..

So i tried..
Again selected file menu,
chose load option,
Set type to "1bank voice" without waveform..
and then i could see the voices.. but it didn't make sound..

So i formatted the module again and this time
i set type to "1 bank voice" with waveform,
i chose user bank 4 and made user bank 1 as target bank..
it was installed, could see voices in user bank and audible..

was the last method i did correct? or are there any other procedures to follow?
this is the first question.. and the next one is..

after completing the above, i wanted to load cp1piano on moxf..
so, i selected file menu
chose load,
Set type to "All" with system and waveform
selected cp1 and executed..
it was loaded and installed.. but the voices which i were installed earlier, are removed from user bank.. cp piano voices were installed in user bank 2 (A01-A16).. user bank 1 and 3 are remain same with default voices..

i want both set of voices in moxf..
what should i do to have both set of voices?

Thanks!

Attempting to Load a Motif XF All data File to a MOXF will load USER 1, USER 2, USER 3 and Drum USER VOICES, PERFORMANCES, MIX TEMPLATES, WAVEFORMS, and ARPEGGIOS.

The Motif XF has 4 Normal User Banks (512 Voices) — the MOXF has 3 Normal User Banks (384)
Therefore any data saved from a Motif XF with Voice data in Bank 4 will not load to the MOXF

The Motif XF has 4 Banks of Performances (512) — the MOXF has 2 Banks of Performances (256)
Therefor any data saved from a Motif XF with Performance data in Banks 3 and 4 will not load to the MOXF

Typically, a Motif XF Library will come with instructions about which User Bank contains the Waveforms when new data is included. This is so you can avoid what you went through. If — as it appears — the new Waveforms in your .X3A File were targeting Voices in User Bank 4... therefore when you used the LOAD option: “1Bank Voice” and loaded Bank 4 to internal User 1 as the target... you were successful. This means the instruction probably told you that User Bank 4 was the NEW stuff.

This loaded the 128 Voices from the .X3A file to your current User 1 Bank.
It also installed the Waveform List to your MOXF.
This means the Voices in User 1 Bank now have been redirected to find the new audio data they need. What takes the time when loading the data, is writing the new data to the lowest numbered Waveform location on the Flash Board, and updating the internal catalog so every Element can find the Waveform in its new location.

after completing the above, i wanted to load cp1piano on moxf..

Set type to "All" with system and waveform

By setting the LOAD Type = All is where you made your mistake. That is NOT what you wanted. “All” means you will be replacing all User Voices in memory. Clearly NOT what you want to do.

You only want to replace some of the Voices in your User Banks. Specifically, you want to keep the 128 User Voices in User Bank 1.
You want to load data from the CP1 piano data...
you must ask yourself, (and this is the information usually contained in the instructions) what User Bank contains the NEW stuff.
Let’s say the instructions indicate the new Voice stuff is in the File’s USER 1 Bank... (find the instructions and verify this)

You need to set LOAD Type = “1Bank Voice” set User 1 Bank as the source, and target internal User Bank 2

This will not only *add* the CP1 Voice data to the User 2 Bank, but it will install the NEW Waveforms to the lowest numbered empty location on you Flash Boards Waveform List. So the NEW Waveforms will be added to the end of the Flash Board’s Waveform List

You can look at the Waveforms currently on your Flash Board
Press [FILE]
Press [F6] FLASH
Press [SF2] DELETE
Here you will see the currently installed Waveforms listed 001 through 2048

EXAMPLE: If your first installed file installs 34 new Waveforms, they will appear listed 0001~0034
You second installed file installs 10 new Waveform, they will appear listed fro 0035-0044

You can never overwrite Waveforms by mistake. Waveforms get added to the end of the list.
Because the Waveform list is included in every File you make from this point on, the Voices in your files will ‘know’ where their Waveforms are located. Your custom Waveforms now have a ‘permanent’ location.

Just like the Preset Waveforms have a permanent location. You can make hundreds of files, and they can all use the Full Concert Grand. Every file references the Factory Waveform List, so every Voice knows where to point to find the correct Waveform.
Your Flash Board Waveform List gets written to every subsequent file, so that every User Voice saved in that file will remember where it’s Waveform data is coming from — be it a Factory Preset Waveform or a Flash Board Waveform.

The only way to get rid of Flash Waveforms is to directly Delete it or initialize the entire Flash Board.... never, ever, by simply loading a regular file.
