- A Fine Selection Of Essential Voices

The P-90 takes the voices of Yamaha's acclaimed P-80 digital piano to a new level.Featuring more than twice the wave ROM of its predecessor, the P-90 delivers truly professional digital piano performance, with long sustained samples and abundant sample points for each voice. On top of its exceptional Dynamic Stereo Sampled piano voices, which change dynamically in timbre according to how hard the keys are pressed, the P-90 provides a complete range of the most commonly used keyboard sounds, including classic and contemporary digital pianos, jazz and church organs, harpsichords and more.

- Slim And Lightweight Design

Made for musicians on the go and for studios and stages where space is tight, the P-90 offers heavyweight performance in a lightweight package. Weighing in at a mere 16.9 kg and measuring 28.5 cm deep, the P-90 can be easily hauled to gigs and placed in studios and on stages where ordinary digital pianos may not fit comfortably.

- 64- Note Polyphony

Featuring 64 notes of polyphony, the P-90 lets you play long sustained passages without fear of cutting off notes.

- PC- MIDI Interface

A built-in "TO HOST" MIDI interface provides a direct connection to a Macintosh or Windows ® PC.

- Realistic Piano Touch

All models in the P series line are equipped with Yamaha's acclaimed Graded Hammer Effect keyboard to provide the expressive feel and response of an acoustic piano. Just as on a real piano, the keys in the lower registers have a heavier touch, which gradually becomes lighter as you play up the keyboard. And unlike on an acoustic piano, the keyboard's sensitivity can be adjusted to match your own playing style.

- Expressive Piano Sound

To achieve the ultimate in piano realism, many of the P series' piano sounds feature Dynamic Stereo Sampling - three layers of precisely recorded digital samples each set at a different velocity point. In other words, when you play the keyboard lightly you hear the true sound of a piano being played pianissimo. And as you player harder, the sound switches to that of a piano being played mezzo forte or forte. But the realism doesn't stop there. There's also a fourth sample layer that simulates the resonance of the piano strings and soundboard when the damper pedal is held down, and key-off samples to recreate the subtle sound piano keys make when released.

- MIDI Recorder

A perfect tool for practicing or song writing, the MIDI recorder onboard most of the P series digital pianos lets you record an entire performance and play it back at the touch of a button. You can then go back and record a second part using a different voice. For advanced music composition, the P-250's MIDI recorder lets you record up to 16 instrumental parts to make fully fledged songs.

- Built-In Demo Songs

All P series pianos feature a collection of built-in demo songs. Depending on the model, up to 50 popular and original songs are available at the press of a button. Try playing along or simply sit back and enjoy listening to them.

- Soft Pedaling Capability

For even more authentic piano performance, most of the P series models can emulate the soft pedaling and half pedaling effects of an acoustic piano. Soft pedaling reduces the volume and slightly changes the timbre of notes played while the sustain pedal is pressed, while not affecting any notes played before pressing the pedal.

- PC Connectivity

In addition to MIDI IN and OUT terminals, many of the P series digital pianos are equipped with a PC-to-MIDI interface that lets you connect the keyboard directly to a Macintosh or Windows ® computer to use it with software for music composition, notation and training. The P-120/P-120S and P-90 provide a "TO HOST" type serial interface, while the P-250 features both USB type and "TO HOST" type serial interfaces.
