AW2816 Latest Version
Version 1.12 (August 23, 2002)
Fixes and Enhancements
1. Fixes a bug in which the Gain Reduction (GR) meter in the Dynamics page of Recorder Monitor Channel 15 would not display correctly.
2. Fixes a bug in which the last part of a song would not be exported when using Track Export to CD-R/RW to export a track that does not have a Region at the beginning of the song (in other words, a track that was recorded somewhere in the middle of the song). This problem does not occur with Part/Region Export.
Before upgrading:
Before performing this upgrade, you should backup all your songs and important data to prevent loss due to unexpected mishaps.
It is not necessary to reformat the internal hard disk to perform the upgrade; however, to optimize the recorded data and ensure reliability, we recommend backing up your data and reformatting your hard disk prior to upgrading.
Data created with software versions prior to version 1.12 will be compatible with upgraded AW2816 units, so you will be able to use your backup data without any problems. The MIDI Remote and Utility settings differ slightly in the new version, so these settings will be converted accordingly. |

AW2816 Version History
Version 1.11 (December 17, 2001)
This AW2816 operating software update fixes a bug that caused a small amount of noise from channel 15 RECORDER MONITOR in the Digital Mixer section to leak over into channel 16. This problem does not occur in any other channels. The version 1.11 update covers all the new functions added to the previous version 1.1.
Version 1.1 (October 19, 2001)
The functions added or changed in version 1.1 are as follows:
1. Support for the Waves Y56K DSP card.
The Version 1.1 upgrade adds support for the new Mini-YGDAI plug-in system, making it possible to use DSP cards in Mini-YGDAI slots in addition to various Yamaha I/O cards already supported. Y56K is supported via this Mini-YGDAI plug-in system
2. Support for the Yamaha MY8-mLAN card
The MY8-mLAN card brings this music networking connectivity to products including the AW4416. Information regarding the MY8-mLAN will be soon updated on this site.
The MIDI Remote and Utility settings differ slightly in the new version, so these settings will be converted accordingly.
Please see the supplement manual for detailed information about the above enhancements.
Other enhancements:
Discs made using Track At Once that have not been finalized can now be read by the AW2816 in CD Play and CD Import modes. However, this feature is limited to units equipped with the YAMAHA CRW2100 CD-R/RW drive. When attempting to load discs that have not been finalized in CD drives other than the CRW2100, the message "Change Media, please" will appear.

How to Check the Software Version
